Our Approach
About Carl
To fulfill Carl David Richardson’s dream of helping others by becoming an Occupational Therapist and working with young children, the foundation is expanding their reach within our community and adding an Early Intervention Program to our list of services.
The Carl David Richardson Foundation Early Intervention Program’s goal is to identify and assess, as early as possible, those infants and toddlers, birth to three, with questionable development as well as to provide those eligible families with experienced qualified professionals to provide the highest quality service that incorporates their priorities with functional outcomes in the most natural environment to the extent appropriate. Attention is given to assist children with special needs to have the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential and to participate in community life.
While working in partnership with pediatric providers, families, caregivers and community members, emphasis is placed on developing strategies to enhance the quality of services children and families with special needs receive. In an effort to accommodate the cultural diversity and bilingual needs often overlooked in underserved communities, The Carl David Richardson Foundation is dedicated to focus more of their efforts and energies in this area.
To achieve this vision, we support child/family concerns, priorities and developmental needs; comply with all regulatory requirements of the federal, state, and city standards; maintain a strict code of professional ethics/conduct; and assume personal/professional accountability for all our services. Our handpicked team commits to serve the children/families of our communities with a focus on health equity, integrity and professionalism for ALL.
